tubbs Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Ever notice that most of the songs that have the word "blues" in the title...aren't really blues? (I'm a 12-bar blues purist, and the finest practitioners of the art IMHO were ZZ Top on their first two albums.) I usually only hit 2 or 3 bars...... a night, but that's just me. and those first 2 albums from Z Z Top.... classic!!!!

tubbs Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Les Claypool/ Primus One of the best slappers ever The writer of Free Ride played with the following people: Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, Rick Derringer and had a very successful solo career another hint from one of his songs I don't understand it Can't keep my mind off loving you, not even for a minute you got that right. when Metallica lost their basest, they turned to Claypool first. 2 distinct musical sounds, I don't think it would have worked. ok, that's Dan(?) Hartman - I can dream about you. he played with all those guys? hmmm, learn something everyday.

Crosby did Play with the Springfield at the '67 Monterey Pop Festival not long before giving the Byrds the Bird. Which made him the Only "Headliner" to play in 2 Groups.

I knew Jefferson Airplane, and The Birds were there (crosby had an STP sticker on his guitar)but thats all I remember.
