Let's see if any of you know this one;

Well, I've got a car that's mine alone

That me and the finance company own

A ready made pile of manufactured grief

And if I ain't out of gas in the pouring rain

I'm a-changing a flat in a hurricane

I once spent three days lost on a cloverleaf

Lord Mr. Ford - Jerry Reed

I've always been a fan of his music.

I've got thirteen hours to make my destination

And I don't want to stop to check my weight

There won't be no sleep for me tonight

No, I've got to be hittin' Tulsa by first morning light

Getting down, so deep I could have drowned

Now, I can't get back the way I used to be

Climax Blues Band - Couldn't Get It Right

I've had a couple that haven't been guess yet too, one of them has the entire beginning of the song all the way up to the chorus and still no one has gotten them...I must be going way too obscure!

This one should be simple....

I see the man around the corner, waiting

Can he see me?

I close my eyes and wait to hear

The sound of someone screaming here

I'm bringin' the new technology and it's crazy

Everywhere machinery tools keep me company

I talk to the scenery it talks back to me

It's got so many people, but it's got no soul

Yep. Can you name what group he did vocals for before his solo career?

Never saw/heard that before. And it's not like I'm a stranger to obscure music either.

It's not particularly obscure. It came out a year after Stuck in the Middle. Not as big a hit, but it made the Top 40. I remember hearing it on the radio back in the day.

Hmmm, Maybe you're significantly older than I am? :P

If you remember Stuck in the Middle, you should remember Star... it came out a year later. ^_^
