'Cause we live in a time

When meaning falls in splinters from our lives

And that's why I've traveled far

'Cause I come so together where you are

This one never got answered. It's called "Don't Misunderstand Me" by the "Rossington-Collins Band". Look it up. I'll bet you'll all recognize it. :)

Steve

excellent song, great album. did they form after the Lynard Skynard crash?

No answer on this one either. "Raise a Little Hell", "Trooper".

Steve

now, if I would have gone back, I would have gotten that one. got some of their stuff. really the only big hit they had. reminds me of the group April Wine.

I've been loved and put aside

I've been crushed by the tumbling tide

And my soul has been psychedelicized

SNAKE!! I swear to God (I don't really but...) you ALWAYS come up with these songs from the past that I can get the title, but it's gonna kill me on the group. I will spend so much TIME thinking of the group.

NOT FAIR!!! PROTEST!! I don't know what hurts worse, beating your head against the wall trying to remember the name, or kicking yourself after you see the answer!! I couldn't get Eric Burden out of my head and I knew that wasn't it.... Chambers brothers... jeez.

here's a quickie (remember the laugh-in quickies)

"second verse, same as the first"

Herman's Hermits, Henry the 8th.

Yes to the song, not the artist tho.

Yes to the song, not the artist tho.

Fleetwood Mac did it first; it was on their 1972 "Bare Trees" album... Bob Welch (a former member of Fleetwod Mac) also recorded it later, on his debut album as a solo artist (1977).

Yes to the song, not the artist tho.

Actually, it was originally recorded by Fleetwood Mac when Bob Welch (who wrote the song) was still a member. He later recorded the solo version which became popular.

Looks like Harry beat me to the punch

My personal Rule of Music #1: If there's a harmonica featured, it's a good song.

My personal Rule of Music #2: If there's a mandolin featured, it's a good song.

Hint: this one follows rule #2:

"We're leaving it all behind

while castles are falling down.

We're going where no one can find us,

and if there's a heaven we'll find it somehow"...

Geez! Nobody??? :o

One of my favorite songs of all time,,, "Where do the children go?" by the Hooters...

How about a French lyrics theme?

1. Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons
J'aurais toujours faim de toi

2. jeux sans frontières

jeux sans frontières

3. Apres tous les beaux jours
Je te dis merci merci

4. Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble
Tres bien ensemble

5. Ce que j'ai fais, ce soir la
Ce qu'elle a dit, ce soir la
Realisant mon espoir
Je me lance, vers la gloire

I know #4... Beatles, Michelle.

Oui!

#1, just a guess... Lady Marmalade?

Non.

These are all fairly well-known songs by American or English artists except for #3, which is by a Dutch band

Herman's hermits? Dang!

I was just about to answer Ramones - Judy is a punk.
