Hey, help me identify a song I heard on the radio a few weeks ago...never heard it before and I didn't even pick up enough lyrics to google...and it was very long and I only heard part of the middle.

It rocked, and I think it was live. I think it MIGHT have been George Thoroughgood, but not at all sure. Anyway, the guy was kind of talking his way through this story about some kind of concert after-party, and he picked up this girl, who might have been underaged, and she drank all his beer, or booze...this might have happened in or around a van, and there might have been other drugs involved...does any of this ring any bells? Would love to track that song down.

....duh.  I just realized you guys just google the lyrics being posted.

Who needs a memory anymore with such a friend?

I only do that when someone posts the same lyrics twice because no one got them, just so we can all get on with our lives.

If I don't know them... I don't post.... Where I come from that would be called cheating.

I walk the front line, still got far to go......."

Snake, I'd bet our Record collections look a lot alike!

I don't own a single Dylan record, tape, or CD, and never have. Have quite a few others covering his songs, though, most notably Hendrix and Warren Zevon. B)

C,E, & Snake.... Bingo.....

What No Dylan......The poet & genius who influenced so many. Hmmmm

I lied to you. I DO have a few Dylan CDs. On his 2003 tour, he covered four Warren Zevon songs...and Zevon was in the audience of the LA show to hear a couple of them. What an honor that must have been. Friends on the Zevon board managed to hook me up with bootlegs of those shows. (He didn't do the songs very well, but that he did them AT ALL was an amazing tribute to WZ.)

Pretty eyes, shinin' big and bright

A bundle of joy, she's outta sight

Long black hair and fancy clothes

She's got a reputation that everybody knows

Hint: Motown. Big with the Northern Soul crowd.

They've got us on the run

With guns

And knives

We're fighting for our lives...

Hint: From a movie; better known as an instrumental in the USA (hit #27 Pop, #1 Adult Contemporary) but at least two different English artists recorded vocal versions.

The old man's got his pride,

They got an unusual disrespect,

So dissatisfied.  Having a hard time....
