mnwildpunk Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Ok another one people not may get but a bit of background as soon as I heard this woman's voice I feel in love not knowing anything about her. So bare is my heart I can't hide So where does my heart belong? Beneath your tender touch I can't devide. Oh so strong my desire So bare is my heart I can't hide So where does my heart belong. I think its called trip hop but her voice is amazing in my opinion. She gives me goose bumps when I hear voice hausting but loving. Look up so long after you guess this

Were they the original artist? I know it was written by either Randy Newman or Paul Williams (never can remember which). I'm thinking Randy Newman.

Absolutely! One of my top ten fave songs of the '60s, and one that ALWAYS makes me happy when I hear it. I could have my head in a noose, about to kick the chair away, and that could come on the radio and I would say, "Oh, wait, lemme get out of this thing and get down and dance." Just because someone wrote it, doesn't mean they sang it. Daydream believer was written by Neil Diamond, not sure if he ever recorded it.

See, Robin Williams was Wrong! One can remember the 60's And was there!! . I have several "Happy Songs" from the era. The 59th Street Song by Paul Simon being pretty much my #1.

"Original artist" on this song was...Eric Burden & The Animals, who recorded it in 1966! Newman himself recorded it on his 1970 album. The Three Dog Night version is of course the best known and the only one most people (myself included) have ever actually heard.

Amidst the tons of poppy junk, they actually produced four or five EXCELLENT songs. (Doesn't sound like much but that's four or five more excellent songs than you or I have done.)
