Crazy Ed Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Also Blue Cheer and Eddie Cochrane. Eddie did more than cover it, he wrote it. But Blue Cheer did what I consider the Best version of it. All you Heavy Metal Fans if you're not aware of Blue Cheer, check'em out!

I remember when I was a kid, Blue Cheer was on the Steve Allen TV show and Steve said they were the loudest thing he'd heard since he heard cannon fire when he was in the Army.

Blue Cheer was a Group you wanted to enjoy at an outdoor venue like the Panhandle in Golder Gate Park or on a Flatbed Truck at one of the Peace Moratoriums. They were "almost" too load for the Fillmore or Avalon Ballroom.

jwrass Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Glenn, Great job! Just my opinion but I have never heard a song that I didn't like by Humble Pie! Good old rock'in blues. I had forgot about Blue Cheer and Bubble Puppy, More or less one hit wonders on the charts but great tunes on LPs I just listened to the preview versions on ITunes Good Stuff! Does anyone know if the Nuge was in Blue Cheer for a period of time, I know he was In the Amboy Dukes but I think he was in other band as well! To lazy to google to see his profile
