Rise so high

yet so far to fall

a plan of dignity

and balance for all

Political breakthrough

euphoria's high

Another great movie tune:

And you my love, won't you take my hand?

We'll go back in time to that mystic land

Where the dew drops cry and the cats meow

I will take you there, I will show you how

Spinal Tap - Stonehenge

If I hadn't popped the DVD in yesterday, I would probably be beating my head on the desk trying to figure this one out!

"They said "Yes, she's been here."

But their memory wasn't clear.

Was it yesterday?

No, wait… the day before"...

Looks like I stumped the band again?

"I broke your heart, and I made you blue

Instead of hurting back, you said 'I love you'"...

Hint: Recorded by four very different singers in the '60s, including one you wouldn't expect...

"A Love Like Yours (Don't Come Knockin' Every Day)" - Martha and the Vandellas/Dusty Springfield/Ike and Tina Turner/... and Florence Henderson  . Mrs. Brady's version uses a nearly note-for-note copy of Ike and Tina's Phil Spector wall-of-sound-with-a-choir production. Better than you might think.

"I know if you'd seen her
You'd tell me cause you are my friend
I've got to find her
And find out the trouble she's in
If you tell me she isn't here
I'll follow the trail of her tears..."

Hint: A lot of singers covered this one too, including one legendary rock 'n' roller...

"That's How I Got to Memphis" - Tom T. Hall/Bobby Bare/Scott Walker/Lee Hazelwood/...and Bill Haley and the Comets (I like that one best).

"I can never change what I feel

My face will never show what is not real

But now she's gone, yes, she's gone away

A soulful song that would not stay..."

Oh, it doesn't matter what they say in the papers
'Cause it's always been the same old scene.
There's a new band in town
But you can't get the sound from a story in a magazine

He hasn't found what he's lookin' for
They're still standing in the rain
He can't help it, and she's just that way
And when he calls her

Burnin' love comes once in a lifetime
She found me singing by the rail road track
Took me home, we danced by moonlight
