Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high

Bump from a few days ago:

"You should have seen me with the poker man,

I had a honey and I bet a grand,

Just in the nick of time I looked at his hand... "

Taking it further...

"I was talking to an Eskimo,

Said he was hoping for a fall of snow,

When up popped a sea lion ready to go... "

Maybe the extra lines will help... ?

"Carry On Wayward Son", by Kansas. That was from their 1976 album "Leftoverture", one of what I consider their two best albums along with it's followup, 1977's "Point Of Know Return".

Right, yep, and correctimundo! As far as "Undercover Angel" goes, Ienjoy a lot of those 1970's "Top 40" songs, and plan on posting a bunch of them myself over the next little while. Nice catch on the Gerry Rafferty song. It wasn't one of his most popular, but I consider it one of his best.

I remember him on the radio a lot in the 70's and I don't thinks its been all that long that he past...Lonely boy was a good catch.

When we look at each other now,
There's no love in our eyes.
And when we talk to each other now,
We just criticize.
And we're trying to be lovers now

Looking forward to, but who wouldn't do,
