Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Know your head is spinnin' Broken hearts will mend This is our beginning Comin to an end
Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 "Are you optimistic 'bout the way that things are going?" "No, I never ever think of it at all." That rings a bell. I think it's a Chicago song but can't think of the title.
Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 How many acts have done different songs called "Heartbreaker"? I'll start with three: Led Zep Grand Funk Pat Benatar I'll bet there are at least a dozen more.
Mike_G Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Incense & Peppermints, Strawberry Alarm Clock. How I loved that song once. What was it, 1966, 67? I associate it with building early funny car models. I still love that song. Ed King was in another band later, can you name it?
slusher Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 The miles are getting longer, it seems, The closer I get to you. I've not always been the best man or friend for you Still not solved
slusher Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I saw you That was all I had to see Wanted you Had to have you next to me From that moment I knew that you'd be all I'd ever need And there's a place inside my heart Nobody's touched before Still not solved
slusher Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Know your head is spinnin' Broken hearts will mend This is our beginning Comin to an end Foo Fighters - Wheels. I really like wheels and What if I do? by them
Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 That rings a bell. I think it's a Chicago song but can't think of the title. This morning it hits me. I think it's Questions 67 and 68.
Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Foo Fighters - Wheels. I really like wheels and What if I do? by them Wheels is an awesome song. And I don't use that word often.
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Billie Jean by Michael Jacksoncorrect - I thought that was the easy one. I was very surprised that that song was not #1 that year as the Police "every breath you take" (which is the ultimate stalker song, really!! read the lyrics) was #1
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Still not solvedI like this guy and it's the only song I know by him...coming home - daughtry
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Wheels is an awesome song. And I don't use that word often. not much of a Foo fighters fan, don't know why. saw a 2 hour documentary on them. Grohl is a real perfectionist, ain't he? I have them on my computer here, maybe I will give a listen today.

tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 #2I hear the ticking of the clockI'm lying here the room's pitch dark
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 and #1The blond waitresses take their traysThey spin around and they cross the floor; They got the moves. You drop your drink then they bring you more.
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I still love that song. Ed King was in another band later, can you name it?well, I will give it a shot, I know he was a big influence on lynyrd skynyrd and played guitar with them, but I am not sure if there was another band in-between the alarm clock and skynyrd.I used to read the backs and the inner sleeves of albums like they were hot rod magazines.
ChrisBcritter Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 How many acts have done different songs called "Heartbreaker"? I'll start with three: Led Zep Grand Funk Pat Benatar I'll bet there are at least a dozen more. Add the Crystals.

ChrisBcritter Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 This lying, and cryin', is upsettin' and gettin' ya no where It don't stack up, so slack up and pack up I just don't care Don't let the screen door hit you, on your way out. Don't you drown when your dream boat runs onto the ground Sanford-Townsend Band - "Smoke from a Distant Fire".
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Add the Crystals.mariah carey had one and oh my God, don't hold this against me..... Justin Bieber had one too. the ONLY reason I know this was I thought in her early days Mariah was a fox. the Bieber thing, one of the mothers of a kid on our baseball team was a fan and she would play music between innings, this was one of the songs she would play.after a few games I got her to add "centerfield" to the playlist.so I think that is #5 and #6.
tubbs Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 'nuther one of my favorites...Get, get, get, get your long hair cutAnd cut out your ways
ChrisBcritter Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Nobody too famous sang this (the best version was on a Scopitone); it's a movie title song: She'll turn your head, though she might use a judo hold And on her shoulder's a chip made of solid gold If you're a master of the underworld you'll be accepted in her queue She is the perfect mistress of her art She is the perfect mistress, too "Modesty" (theme from the movie Modesty Blaise; killer Scopitone version by Virginia Vee) Again a movie song (not a title song), this time sung by somebody famous; not a hit but should have been: She makes love without a smile Ooh hot dog it drives me wild "Mean Woman Blues" - Elvis Presley (from the movie Loving You) Geez. Shall we continue with the movie bit? She needs a man She's been without one for so long She needs a man Someone big and oh so strong Lord, I think she needs Superman... Hint: VHS only. An Armenian guy sings it.
mnwildpunk Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I can't quote it cause there is no lyrics really but one of my favorites
