frozono Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 Hi everyone.......... I decided to ad some detail to the model........ I noticed that the kit don't have a gas tank...... I think this is a new environmental car for the 20's..... run with air........ so I made a gas tank........ I use a brass sheet, some solder and a lot of patience....... just a pic of the gas tank...... I will post more pics...........
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Nice, I have a lot of brass lying around, and did not think to do that.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Nice start. Did you wrap the brass around an exacto handle? also the gas tank is the top part of the cowl in a 29 revell just doesn't complete it.
frozono Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Nice start. Did you wrap the brass around an exacto handle? also the gas tank is the top part of the cowl in a 29 revell just doesn't complete it. I used a tool that is use to make wire springs. Take some time. ..... but when you finish and see the results...... it worth it.
slusher Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Strong start Luis, keep up the awesome work...
Sixgunner68 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Looks like an interesting project! Are the dice in there for inspiration, or were they just handy? Look forward to seeing more!

Speedfreak Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Nice work Luis, that bed and tank really look great. Adds a lot of realism.
frozono Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Hi everyone..... I worked today with the bead for the pickup........ I am 75% done...... I need to work with the door..... and weathering the bead....... It will be a low budget home made rat rod...... I finished the walls and the rest of the frame...... i add some plastic on the edges of the wood to simulate steel........... the same one that is use to protect the edges of the wood inside the bead........ My next step is to weather it and stain the wood to looks old...... build a better stand for the gas tank and work with the rust paint job........It took me some time to build it..... this is my first time that i build something like this...... when I finish this one I will build another with more details........... but at this time I need to finis this one first............. I will post more pics......
