Ryan S. Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Looking really good so far. Nice find on the rims and tires, I like those. Any idea what they scale out to?
Kennyboy Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 Thanks Ryan The wheels/tires came off of a 1/24 scale diecast........they are just bigger sized. Similar to a 26" rear and a 22" front.
Kennyboy Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Grabbed a couple of quick photos outside today with it sitting on the chassis..........sorry about the shallow depth of field.....gotta fix that.

Ridge Rider Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I always thought this concept was ugly but with that paint it looks much better This was how I viewed the Sidewinder but you have changed my mind. Your color choice and paint job really show the design characteristics. I like the tire and wheel combo, are they from the kit or another source?
slusher Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 (edited) Ken did those headlights come with the kit..?? Edited September 20, 2014 by slusher
Kennyboy Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 (edited) This was how I viewed the Sidewinder but you have changed my mind. Your color choice and paint job really show the design characteristics. I like the tire and wheel combo, are they from the kit or another source? Thank you Steve........I knew there was something to this kit, and I was determined to show it could turn into something worthwhile. The wheels/tires came from a diecast Maisto All American Camaro. They were chrome so I stripped them and alcladed them. Ken did those headlights come with the kit..?? The housings and lenses did Carl.....but the rest of the light I made. I started by drilling out the two holes where I wanted the projectors, painted the housings black, then inserted the aluminum eyelet into each hole (Michael's bead department), inserted a small crystal bead into each eyelet, and then covered the bead with Elmer's clear glue. Added the lens with the same glue and inserted into the hood. Edited September 20, 2014 by Kennyboy
