DanR Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 This was a great, fun build and I hope Moebius continues to release these. As a Willys fan, this was the one I wanted the most, so naturally, when it came out, I bought it immediately. The kit is a nice "palate cleanser;" one of those kits you build in between larger projects because it's relatively easy to assemble and looks great on the shelf. A word of advice to anyone considering this kit - don't follow the Moebius instructions completely. The figure should NOT be fully assembled prior to final assembly. The right arm simply will not fit through the passenger side window if it's complete. Assemble the figure in its entirety minus the right arm. Attach all fingers to the right arm EXCEPT the thumb. This will allow you to snake the arm through the window, insert the remainder of the driver, attach the arm to him, and then attach the thumb. The downside is a very visible thumb joint, but it's a small price to pay to avoid greater overall damage to the body or the figure.
DanR Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Thanks Chris! I had a lot of fun with this one.
Maxicoop Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Sweet build !!!!!!!!!!!!! very clean !!!!!!!!!!!
geetee66 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 This is the first time i've seen one of these! Looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for the building tips, too..
DanR Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Thanks for the comments, guys. It's a pretty cool kit, I highly recommend it!
RAT-T Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 THIS IS COOL DAN, IS IT THE SAME SIZE AS THE POLAR LIGHTS KITS?
DanR Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 Tom, I'm not sure, I don't have one of the PL kits to use as a basis of comparison. It's pretty big! I would guess that the body of the car is closer to 1/20 scale overall.
oldcars Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 That is UBBER FANTASTICO!. You are costing me money though. I now have to buy this kit. Richard
DanR Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 Ha ha Richard, I know that feeling. It's worth the $$$, you'll enjoy building it.
