w451973 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 What other kits shared this same MPC chassis ?
AC Norton Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 most mpc 67-70 era funny car kits. they were not all identical, but the basic parts all seem to be. best I can remember from several builds about a million years ago...lol...the ace.........
unclescott58 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Again, how about some pictures, guys. So we can see what your talking about. Scott
Snake45 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 It's a first-generation Logghe. Same chassis was in the Mr. Unswitchable '67 GTO (except for the roll bar) and Color Me Gone '66-'67 Charger. I believe it was in the MPC Cougar funnies, too. The MPC Dick Harrell '69 Camaro had an updated version of this chassis that was slightly different. I was surprised to see the first-gen chassis in the '69 GTO funny.

Scott You can see many of the instruction sheets here: http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/straightline-competition/ Here's what I call the "second gen" Logghe of the MPC Harrell '69 Camaro:
rasafyff Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 This chassis is in the recently reissued Kenz & Leslie Cougar FC. MPC used this chassis in the old Ramchargers Dune Buggy. Some of the dune buggy parts are still in the K&L Cougar. MPC also used this chassis in the old Dyno Don Nicholson Cougar FC.
Daddyfink Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 MPC Mr. Unswitchable GTO MPC Color Me Gone Charger MPC Dyno Don MPC Arnie Beswick Judge
Daddyfink Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I figured one Cougar funny would pretty much cover them all
w451973 Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Thanks guys and thanks for the pics. That is what I needed. I figured it was used in several kits due to the generic engine block, motor plate, headers and a few minor details. I've been researching the Logghe chassis for some details. I'm building a Cutlass funny car and will need to get another one of these kits or simular for the chassis. I'm keeping my rare JoHan stuff for a restoration project later. Mean while this one will be a fictisious (sp?) racer so I'm not worried about total accuracy of any particular car.
