brett Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Promised crazy Jim a couple years ago that I would build a shiny chopped Olds as the last one was satin Black. Took me a while Jim but here it is you will notice the spats are loose, I'm still undecided if I like them off or on, they do sit reasonably well in place but I must have knocked them when I too the pics
GMCMAN52 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 not your fathers Olds....... and I like the two tone paint job
slusher Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Beautiful model. Great color choice and finish...

unclescott58 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Looks great. Leave the "spats" (fender skirts) on. Helps give the car that low look. Scott

charliechaindrive Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 How did you do your chop? I hacked up my '50 olds and it didn't turn out quite as good as yours. I'd like to know more, did you do a build thread?
brett Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 no no build thread on this one sorry but if you follow this link http://s1188.photobucket.com/user/doorslammerfan/library/on%20the%20bench?sort=3&page=3 you can see how I did the chop
Shardik Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Thanks. The pictures make it pretty clear.
DeeCee Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 That is a very nice build Brett, way not your style from what i have seen mate, but a great job, love that paint too.
brett Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 cheers Dale, but not my style ????????????? I try to be rather diverse in what I build, from mild customs to all out full detail pro mods and 70's funny cars to the odd tuner or old lead sled then theres a tractor puller finished just after a F1 styled 32 coupe. Guess I'll have to try harder !!!
