Very nice! I thought all big block cars had black tail panels though

Supposedly they did but you know how things go, there are always a couple oddballs slip through without this or that thing...or WITH this or that thing that it shouldn't have had.... B)

Nice job Randy! For a model that a lot of people picked apart, yours sure looks great.

I am going to have to get busy on mine, right after I finish an AMT '67 Camaro that I was working on. :D

I wanted this one built without the rear spoiler since all of my Camaros have them.

Good move. Spoiler wasn't standard on '67 SS, wasn't even standard on '67 or '68 Z/28, and I'm not sure it was even available in 1967 at all. It's not on any of the '67 Camaro option lists I have (it would be D80), though it MIGHT have been a dealer-installed thing late in the year, I dunno. The '67 Pace Cars didn't have 'em. Except for '69 Z/28s and Pace Cars, probably 95% of the spoilers you see today on First Gen Camaros are "day two" additions. B)

I have a friend that was the original owner of an SS 396 Camaro convertible, that the tail panel came in the same metallic blue as the nose stripes, the car was white with the blue interior, and a white top.

Gorgeous model Randy. I love how it came out and the build. Been checking under glass for it..

Thanks guys for the great comments. Carl....I'm not sure why I didn't think about posting the finished pics in the "Under Glass" forum. They are posted over there now.

That sounds like the Pace Car paint scheme.
