Thanks Sean. This paint scheme was called "Elizabeth" back in the 70's. Freightliner had a bunch of names for different color schemes. You also mentioned about the front axle being too wide. You said that just in time as I haven't done the wheels yet and I didn't noticed that. Thanks!

Most guys that narrowed theirs removed 3/16" out of the center. The steps seem to be troublesome also , stripping them of the chrome and thinning them seemed to be the cure.

Clayton, did you notice the CL-9000 turned into a Freightliner before they destroyed it in Armed and Dangerous? always thought that was funny!.....................................Mark

I never noticed. It's been a few years since I've seen it.

The roof is the only problem I had with this kit. I did a horrible job. It needs an expert to fix it.

Rivet detail is way overdone, as well-

That's true for almost all old semi kits, but it's particularly apparent when you look at the roof on that one.

Kind of like at the end of the Terminator, the transtar turned into a model of a Ford WT9000 when they blew it up. And the Blue Mule lost its Alcoas when they jumped it.

Man I wish I had seen your photo before. The problem is made worse just because of the rivets as you don't want to remove them by sanding them thinking they are accurate.

Those would be boiler rivets. I sanded mine smooth and will do any future kit of the same.

I picked up a Revell Meecdes Benz Uni-Mog truck kit with salt spreader and plow at a second hand store....its missing the tires and wheels... <_< anyone got any for it?

If no one here has any, someone has cast them and was selling them on eBay.

I hope if you build it, you build it turbine powered. Great score Mark.

I finally have my Bill Signs Pete in my possession. I felt like a giddy school boy when I saw it when I got home, along with parts for a couple drag car builds and the hubs for lowboy restoration from Kurt. It was a good mail day for me.

I got these in today straight from Tokyo Japan.

These are awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone with a 1/32 Semi. The tires are rubber, great tread design Yokohama brand. Rear wheels have a choice of 4 hubs, front 3 hubs. Oh yes even comes with a spare tire (11 total) , rim and a mounting bracket.

I have seen other sizes and wheel styles also. I got the 22.5 's

Definitely have to check those out! I have a couple of 1/32 trucks that are in need of new wheels & tires. Now if I could just find a set of Mack spokes. ^_^

Jim, just keep your eyes open for a diecast. I have a Diamiond T wrecker that has great spokes on it. Im pretty sure first gear makes a Mack that scale. Sometimes you can grab them cheap.
