Are the 1969 Boss 302 tape stripes close enough for a 2012 version?

I bought the 2010 and 2013 Revell Mustang kits and am going to duplicate my 2013 GT (check signature for photo). Cobbling those together leaves me with a good basis for a 2012 Boss 302. Just like this:

One problem: no one is doing late model Mustang stripe sets (are you listening K Marks? An orange stripe set would be awesome for a Laguna Edition) So, I've got several 1969 edition sets-Last Detail, Fred Cady-with the correct "C" stripe. Would they work or should I wait.

A second question: anyone got a line on "5.0" logos/badges for the front fenders? Detail master Mustang set has exactly one and it looks too big for the fenders. Along with the fact I'd have to buy two DM sets.

Have you taken a look at the photo-etch sets from KA Models? They have 3 different sets for the newer Mustangs, one of the sets may have what you need.

Also, email Keith Marks about the decals. He has done decals for the 2007 Mustangs and may do up a set of what you need. He does do custom work.

Thanks, I looked at the KA kits and all they have are for the various Revell Shelby Mustangs. No GT, Boss 302, and no 5.0. The search goes on.

There doesn't seem to be much late model Mustang model car accessories. I've been trying to find window louvers for my 2013 duplicate of my 1:1, and haven't had any luck.

Truly I hadn't. I figured since they already were out there (at least '69 vintage) the effort would be a duplicate. I've never tried something like that. I do wish they came out in orange though. In related news I found a Model Car Garage photo etch with (fairly) late model Mustang logos including 5.0 for the fenders. And of course very shortly after I bought a set off of Ebay, I found that Revell has just released a 2014 Mustang GT kit with the 5.0 logos and the proper Coyote engine. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXERMD

Not seeing that as much of a problem at this point. I've got the 2015 Mustang kit pretty much because its got the wheels I need for my 2013 GT. I will wait for a review or two though.

Back at 'cha. I've been looking at the possibility of getting 2005 to 2009 at a reasonable price. But someone else in the house gives me the "stink eye" if she sees me looking on the 'net. I'll just use and enjoy what I've got.
