Custom Hearse Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I loved this woman. She was one of the funniest ladies on SNL... https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/-snl--veteran-jan-hooks-dies-at-57--report-215043369.html
Joe Handley Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) I saw that, it's a shame she's gone, I enjoyed her on SNL and Designing Women. Edited October 10, 2014 by Joe Handley

Harry P. Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 That makes 3 famous people dead in 2 weeks... Paul Revere Sarah Danielle Madison Jan Hooks... Who's Sarah Madison?
Harry P. Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I saw that, it's a shame she's gone, I enjoyed her on SNL and Designing Women. She was also on "Third Rock From the Sun"... she played the landlady. A very funny and talented performer gone way too soon...
Joe Handley Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Who's Sarah Madison? Apparently a local actress that had an ok career. http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0535014/
Harry P. Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Apparently a local actress that had an ok career. http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0535014/ If I've never heard of her, she's not "famous."
Joe Handley Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I wasn't sure, but apparently I've watched some of the shows she was on.
unclescott58 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I'm 56. It worries me a little when I hear of people my age dying. Does anybody out there know what she died of yet? I haven't heard anything on the news. Scott
Harry P. Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 None of the usual sources name the cause of death, and the family is playing "secret squirrel," only saying that she had been suffering from a "serious illness." Yeah, I guess an illness that'll kill you is pretty serious. But I wonder why all the secrecy?
Ju Ju Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I liked the part Jan Hooks played in 'Pee Wee's Big Adventure' as the tour guide at the Alamo. When she informs Pee Wee that the Alamo doesn't have a basement.......... Another favorite was when she imitated Tammy Faye Bakker on SNL.
