tyrone Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) Whats up fellas,,,, I've been working on this for about a week now... It's the new camaro kit from revell, one reason I sold the gold one was because I knew this kit was coming and I wanted to try one of these...I will be using wheels from Micro Nitro, and the chassis is pretty much done...... here I've got it all cut open... tyrone Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) here's a few more... here I mounted and hinged the doors and made a front lower spoiler from .020 sheet styrene... Edited October 20, 2014 by tyrone

freakshow12 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Awesome! Do you stretch the rear wheel wells on your builds? What slicks do you use?
W-31 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Looks like an NMCA n.p.s. car Tyrone! Gonna finally go turbo?
tyrone Posted October 21, 2014 Author Posted October 21, 2014 Awesome! Do you stretch the rear wheel wells on your builds? What slicks do you use? Fred I took a dremel tool and slowly stretched them.... the slicks are from the pro sportsman kit... I sand the sidewalls to give them more of a rounded look....
tyrone Posted October 21, 2014 Author Posted October 21, 2014 Looks like an NMCA n.p.s. car Tyrone! Gonna finally go turbo? Dont know about engine yet Todd... dont have any turbos but I do have a pro charger....hmmm...
Devilsnake98 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Ooh, crank mounted procharger, that would be very yummy. Go for boost T, you can do it.
freakshow12 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I have a few of shuckys prochargers, I still have one cog drive setup left like on my super bee. You are welcome to it if you slap it on here
Devilsnake98 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) What about side by side crank mounted prochargers? I've seen a few online and it looks just insane. I could donate a shucky cog drive procharger if need be if the twin idea is something you'd be into. Heres a couple for a little inspiration. And oh yeah, bring you're pipe wrench cause you have some serious plumbing to do haha. Edited October 21, 2014 by Devilsnake98

johnbuzzed Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Wow. You are one productive modeler. How do you do it, especially with the quality of your work and detail?
W-31 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Either way Tyrone, if youre behind it it will be bad azz!
crowe-t Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Great start Tyrone! BTW, how is the Revell body compared to the AMT kit?
TedsModeling Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Tyrone - Did you fabricate the floor/wheel tubbs/firewall piece or is that from the kit? Looks like another winner-winner-chicken dinner!
tyrone Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Ted.. that's the floor pan from the pro sportsman kit.. I removed the raised beads on the tubbs and floor, and I cut the trunk floor area off, and make one from sheet styrene, and I also trim down the firewall... and thanks for the compliment...
bobthehobbyguy Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Nice work. You have knocking out these chassis to a science. Just curious how long does it take you to do the chassis to this point?
tyrone Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Nice work. You have knocking out these chassis to a science. Just curious how long does it take you to do the chassis to this point? Bob... If I stay with it I can do one in a couple of days.....
Brandriet16 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Should be a great build as all of yours are Tyrone
MeatMan Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Very nice Tyrone. Get the Chassisworks catalog in pdf if you're looking into the front-mounted twin turbo. They've got some nice up-close photos of gear-drive systems.
