wisco8 Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Very nice detail work Mike. I'm watching and learning. Steve
mrmike Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Thanks Steve! Please feel free to ask any questions about anything I do that you may be unsure of. I'll try to explain it better to you.
mrmike Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 I added the white tail stripe to the '68 Charger. I removed the side markers, added the stripe and reinstalled the side markers. I need to cleanup around the side marker with some decal setting solution. The stripe looks pretty straight to me. More Charger R/T to come...
mrmike Posted March 23, 2020 Author Posted March 23, 2020 I needed to add another coat of Tamiya TS-54 Light Metallic Blue to the hood, front and rear valance panels to match the body, but I had run out of paint. A trip to the local hobby shop got me another can of paint. The body has been touched up in prep for clearcoating with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear. More Charger R/T to come...
mrmike Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 The body, interior and chassis are now one piece! I inserted the dome light, windows, and interior rear view mirror and joined them all together. I am getting to the point that I just want this one off the bench! More Charger R/T to come...
Hunyock Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Nice. I am just starting one myself. Am doing a street version with the 440. Lots of good information here. John
mrmike Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Thanks John! If you have a question about my '68 Charger, feel free to ask!
mrmike Posted April 16, 2020 Author Posted April 16, 2020 I have finished my '68 Charger R/T and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed and commented on my WIP for the last 5 years.
David G. Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Talk about a blast from the past! Your detail work is excellent! I really your solution to the marker light issue. Great looking model and well worth the wait. David G.
