cutting thin aluminum cleanly

I tried to cut some tubing and let's just say it was bad. Really bad. What do you guys use to cut your aluminum tubing? I was thinking of using a dremel and small cut off wheel. Any ideas?

Roll your #11 bladed knife over it, then sand...PERFECT!

I use the dremel. Then sand and smooth the edge. I do the same for sheet metal, like bumpers.

A little tip, go slow and easy. Those little cut off stones are very brittle and do come apart if put in too much of a bind.

I use the #11 blade for small stuff . I have a Little Imp Tubing Cutter for 3/16 and larger. As stated before slow and steady.

Harbor freight sells a Micro chop saw that cuts excellent, Micro mark also sells a Jewelers saw that is hand held, if your not in to power tools. There are also Small tubing cutters available at the Hardware stores ususally they handle 1/8 to 1/2 inch size. I have all of these, and sometimes still use the #11 blade on my exacto knife.

I use my XActo saw and file or sand the end smooth.

32 TPI razor saw in a miter box, lightly file to dress the cut. Perfect, square cut every time.

I roll the tubing under a #11 blade. If you're careful, you get a nice, square, clean cut every time.

I use a razor saw with 44 teeth per inch and a miter box. Using an Xacto blade is OK for straight cuts. Totally useless for angled cuts.
