mnwildpunk Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I didn't think today would be as hard as it is I lost my mom back on February 6 well today would. Be been her 70th b-day she was a saint and I know mosr people say that but when I had to have a bone morrow transplant at age 22 my mother quit her job to care for me no questions asked I'll never be able to repay that debt but with my job I'm hoping to pay it forward I live today because of her
Lunajammer Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 She cared for you a lot Dave and I'm sure at the time of her sacrifice she felt it was necessary and right, and therefore not a burdensome hardship. However that's what heros always think. Getting you over the hump and escorting you on to a productive life was her reward. Moms.
Badluck 13 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Dave I wish I could take the hurt away for ya because I know the feeling....lost my mom in '07 and she was ~always~ there for me thick or thin as the same as you no questions or anything in return....the pain will always be there but it will eventually be lighten by the smile you get when you think of fond memories...hang tough my friend and just always be thankful you had a great mom that some didn't/don't and as you do and have keep her in your heart.....
cobraman Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Things will get better. I lost my mom about 7 years ago. For at least a few months I would wake up once in awhile and think " Man, I haven't talked to my mom for awhile I need to call her". Then I would remember, I can't.
mnwildpunk Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Still do that I wake up and in fact dialed her old #a couple times
slusher Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Dave my mom is 80 and I call her everyday. I lost my dad at 18 but even after 31 years I think of him everyday and sometimes shed a tear. That's all part of love ....
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Today is the 17th anniversary of my mothers death... two weeks after my 22nd birthday..... It gets easier, but you never get over it...
