ferrarijoe Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 This is crazy running around 7000 rpm. Judging by title took a while to figure it out. http://m.youtube.com/watch?hd=1&v=kx_j1ixjxac
unclescott58 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 This is not the first time I've seen somebody do this with a Visiable V-8. I do have to question his way of measuring rpms. Watching that meter fluctuate up and down, giving different readings the way it did, did not come off very scientific to me. I also question, what is it acutally measuring? Interesting. But, not very convincing. Scott
Edsel-Dan Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I built a Powered one. I could barely keep it running at the battery pack level without having the plastic pushrods bend and drop down into the oil pan!! I wonder what he used in place of those kit parts!?? And what other parts did he replace??
Guest Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 The valve float is unreal! Is it a electric mother running it? It almost sounds like a real engine.
Lunajammer Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I built a Powered one. And what other parts did he replace?? X2. Having built one, these are exactly my questions.
Maindrian Pace Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 He must be running a visible 4 bolt main block and the visible forged plastic crank. -MJS
philo426 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 They never run that well.I am sure it is heavily modified.
Greg Myers Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Well, that "electric mother" runnin' it can prolly really kick out some real power.
Draggon Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Looks like its using water or something with low viscosity for lubrication.
jbwelda Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 you gotta see this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL3D5uTHkf4 jb
jbwelda Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 on a similar note: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6WDwsdH_A0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJNaaMJsCHM all worth a peek jb
unclescott58 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 you gotta see this jb I'm surprised to see how tough these little buggers are. Scott
jbwelda Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 no kidding. especially considering it was meant to be run with a puny little electric motor and here the guy is running it into the ground with a big torquey power drill. and the V8 at least really kept up pretty well. better than a lot of the motors in the other video! jb
