Thanks Joe.

Here is a low resolution 3D printing of the wheel/tire we did so we could check size. We may tweak the tire to make it slightly taller but other than that I am pretty happy with the size. Once I get the final version of the wheels and tires I will make final stance adjustments. The front end is a little too high in these pictures.

Looking good.

The final versions should be really nice.

Thanks Shay.

That wheel is cool. The detail you are putting into this build is wild.

Thanks Mike

Thanks Randy & Gene.

The engine bay of the car I am building is white. In fact I believe the engine bay on all the works car where white. That would have required some difficult masking work so I cut part of the cowl loose from the body and attached it to the chassis.

Really nice job with the Scort !! Funny I owned 2 of these, but always wanted a Mk1.... They was cheap run-arounds when I was a kid, but there BIG money now. Your doing a fantastic job on this, a excellent tutorial too, ( not just on the Mk2 but a great way of building any car ) . Ever part is as clean and accurate as possible and I look forward to more progress..... ;) ......Lowlife ! !

Thanks Martin. I've been watching your New Beetle custom - very nice. I'm sure you've heard that Belkits is releasing an Mk1 by the end of year. Got have a few of those.

I knew we could get you speaking proper English eventually JC :D

Now if we could get you to speak perfect English Shay, that would be a miracle ....(lol)

Nice job on the exhaust. I thought they did because of weight distribution, but vibration makes sense

considering how brutal those cars where driven. Will be exciting to see it`s final ride hight, the wheels

look very nice.

Thanks for following Tommy.

Here is the completed exhaust.

From this angle you can see why the Rally Prep Manual recommended the recess in the chassis pan, it really gets the exhaust system up and out of harms way.

If you look for specific details on a stock Escort, whatever it might be, I own like five of old Fords, and my buddies have more than enough of these cars, so it should be easy.

What an amazing car. And that orange looks great.

JC, what color/livery are you going for?

I think (?) I have settled on the '80 RAC car.

Thanks for the offer Adam. I have done a lot of research and gathered quite a lot of photos and information. If I need anything I will let you know.

Excellent job on the exhaust. I get the picture when you show it from the side, really snug fit.

Do those nice driver lights follow the kit? Seem to me the aftermarket dont do any of

those, not with the more nostalgic decals on.

Thanks Tommy. Yes the kit does include the driving lights but not the covers. Reji makes a resin transkit which includes the light covers and decals plus a few other bits.
