Sergey Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) Sorry if I wrong with thread. I just bought Lindberg's Dodge Raminator kit When I measured body dimensions I start to doubt about kit 1/24 scale. It turned out 250x89mm from bumper to bumper and between door handles. Can anyone point me to 2006' Dodge Ram spec sheet? Edited November 19, 2014 by Sergey
Superpeterbilt Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Just a thought, but the body on the real Raminator is probably not exact to a real Dodge ram. Its just a fiberglass shell, and could have been stretched and modified for one reason or another. I have the Rammunition kit, and the tires, rims, axles , etc seem to be spot on scale. The body of the real Raminator was not made by dodge, it was made by the Hall Bros who built the truck. The same with bigfoot and the others, those Ford bodies they are running are probably not dead on to the real thing.
Sergey Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Thank you Terry. I thought to use the body to build 2002-2008 Dodge Ram. Something like this: All I need is PDF with dimensions.

Well I think if you used the slightly older Dodge Ram 2500 snap kit as a donor you can make that happen. As you know, the fenders are way too big but you could cut them out of the snap truck. It might be a challenge to make the dually fenders, but anything is possible. If you get the real dimensions, a little cutting and sectioning of the monster truck body could make it work. Good luck
Sergey Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 http://www.media.chrysler.com/dcxms/assets/specs/2006DodgeRamMegaCabSpecs.pdfThank you Casey! Couldn't find regular cab spec. Can you find it?

I have got Revell's Ram II kit, but I think it helpless for this project. I thought Raminator kit is the closest base for my needs. well, it's time to study photos, specs and get ready to cut, to saw, to glue and reshape and to measure. I'm not afraid of this all. I just need exact dimensions and a lot of time.
Sergey Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 Does anyone bought Vector drawings at this site?:http://www.the-blueprints.com/vectordrawings/show/2075/dodge_ram_1500_regular_cab_120_wb_4x2/I would like to buy one to to take measurements in AutoCad.
Chuck Most Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I can't speak for every drawing on that site, but I've seen a couple they have on there that weren't proportionally accurate. The one for the Dodge looks okay, though, and has the measurements listed. It might be the next best thing to finding a 1:1 to measure.
Sergey Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 Don't want to start new topick, so will ask here:Does anyone saw a review of AMT's Dodge Ram 2500/3500 snap kit? I'd like to see what is it.
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I'm really looking forward to watching this play out. I just bought a Revell Dodge VTS to use the chassis under a custom, slammed 2002 single-cab, and had thought about using the Raminator or Rammunition kit as the basis for the body, like you. Interesting project.
explorer2770 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I always go directly to the manufacturer for drawings. Dodge offers their 2004 - 2015 Body Builder guides electronically in pdf form http://www.rambodybuilder.com This will load a pdf that is not navigable in Chrome or Firefox, so you'll have to use IE or another web browser. To help speed things up: http://www.rambodybuilder.com/2006/intro.pdf 2006 1500 120.5" wb 4x2 : http://www.rambodybuilder.com/2006/dr/drreg/drreg1500120.54x2.pdf BTW, Ford and Chevy/GMC offer their own body builder guides online too for most trucks. Ford's go back to 1997, while GM's go back to 1999. https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/bodybuild.html http://www.gmupfitter.com/pdflists/view/6 Here's the gist of what is in the Dodge Ram 3500 snapper: This is one of my bench warmer projects, so the rest of the interior (seats, steering wheel, and dashboard) is still in the box. I saw a guy at the 2014 Cincinnati Auto Replicas show turn a toy Dodge Ram Raminator into a decent scale model. I've only been able to find the Road Rippers Dodge Ram 1500, but more exist.
Sergey Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Thank you Brandon, very much! Very usefull information!
