yea, i think donks are terrible.... this is gonna be a lowrider....

You do know that a "DONK" is a 71-76 caprice or impala, DONK doesn't generalize all cars with big wheels.

So just a little FYI for future refrence.. A DONK IS NOT ANY CAR WITH BIG WHEELS! IT IS A 71-76 IMPALA OR CAPRICE! :)

And google is just as ignorant to it as everyone else, you search donk, what pops up.. NOT A REAL DONK!

I REPEAT!!! A DONK IS A 71-76 IMPALA OR CAPRICE!!!!!!!

That's about the fourth DIFFERENT "expert" "definition" I have heard. You're the first "expert" "purist" I have seen claiming that a Caprice can be a donk. (gasp!)

Why would someone get so worked up over a ridiculous little fad? 10 years from now you will look back at pictures and say "What was I thinking? That looks retarded!"

I bet poeple thought that about lowriders.. this little "fad" is not going away.. Its only getting bigger, and so are the wheels unfortunatly..

Trust me, if you have to lift a car to fit the wheels they dont belong on there, im just stating a fact that a donk is a 1971-1976 impala or caprice.

didnt mean to create any problems

If you say so, we'll see. Out of curiosity, why do you say a CAPRICE can be be a DONK?

This has been around for more than 5 years.. and its only getting bigger trust me..

Its not what i say can be a donk, its fact that a 1971-1976 caprice and impala are donks..

And do you really need to ask why a CAPRICE can be a donk.. caprice and impala's are just about the same ###### thing..

Just like a 1991-1996 caprice/impala are bubbles... (impala only being from 94-96)

donk is a made-up word.... you are gettin mad over a made-up word that "corporate america" has used to describe any lifted car with big wheels..... donk, box, bubble... whatever u think is the "CORRECT" term... you won't see me building it in that style and thats what the guy was asking me..... i knew what he meant..... keep this bull$#!t out of my topic please ;)

Even if you were to label anything as a donk, its not just limited to the 71-76 impalas/caprice. Its practically any full sized and full framed car from that era cause they have massive trunks. hence the word badonkadonk... but anywho, I dont care who calls them what cause Im not a big fan of them either, they're just cars on big rims.

;) WOW.. for car customizers.. you guys are very bias.. why customize cars if you cant appreciate all walks of customs???

the name started off as "dunk" and evolved to "dOnk". Some ol' school dudes still call'em "dunks". (i.e. Dunk Ryders)

The rear of these cars always sits lower...aka dunked down...aka dunk.

That's how these cars got their name. They're the only cars that come FACTORY sittin like that.

So step off your high horses and open your eyes to something that is going to be around.. Close minded poeple SMH...

This the last time i come to this biased ass board...

Have fun with your plastic..

Wouldnt have been so bad if you had read the box and saw it read "DONK"!!!!

We have all had this discussion on donks before and we dont need ot start it again.

we can appreciate the work and heart that goes into them but don't mean we gotta like them and have to build something we don't like.... i've seen a FEW nicely built "donks" but most just wanna be loud and get attention....

and as far as your "definition"..... in all the arguements i've heard on this subject..... first time i heard that one....

now i'm gonna go work on a lowrider or rod.... if u don't like it go away :D just don't expect me to build a lifted car with big wheels :)

once you put the chrome rocker panel pieces on it'll look ok.... you can't get that car much lower with those wheels unless u start cutting up the fenderwells... even then.... you won't have much room under the hood to slamm it on those wheels....

started something a lil different for me.... (not too much) but defintitely more simple.... gonna keep the hood closed and put a engine plate in the chassis to cover the hole.... (modelhaus  ) so, no open hood.... no open trunk.... no open doors.... hopefully and open and close build

I agree, sometimes you need an easy build to break up the monotony. The El Camino looks good too.
