captjeffro26 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I have most of the drive train fab work done. I need to get the exhaust figured out. After that I should be able to get painting and assembling. Should still make it though.
Dominik Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) My bug is done Here the way to the Galerie >klick< Edited October 10, 2015 by Dominik
Petetrucker07 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Great work everyone. Looks like some nice builds. We're in for a good competition that's for sure. I'm only about 25% done. I haven't given up yet. I need to get the interior figured, and the engine compartment, the rest will be fairly easy.
christian-w Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Sorry, that I reply this late. I was a little busy and *hurray* a couple weeks on holiday. But - and that is the main point - my Mini is done. If I see the progresses here, my Mini is just simple. It looks like an oob built with only an other engine Added one picture. I will park it in the gallery this evening. Have to do a shooting
Jantrix Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Do we think it's too early to start a thread for completed builds?
bill_67 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Another great sleeper, very well done Christian.
bill_67 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Rob, I don't think it's to early to start that thread. I was looking to see who was finished already, it was not an easy search.

Also guys, lets be kicking around ideas for next years theme, and decide if you guys are even interested in doing another next year. I'll be running the CBP if so.http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/106766-2015-cannonball-run-cbp-completed-builds-thread/
Foxer Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) It shouldn't be long .. once these are mounted it's in the assembly process! Just a few "instrumentation" to add to the interior .. a Garmin Nav System, an Iphone. The front side marker lights I had to make from an aluminum tube and Bondic casted lenses. The dash in background is from my TR4A build .. added the radio and keyhole. Edited October 14, 2015 by Foxer
Rotorbolt73 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I have maybe 95% of my Caprice build done. Finally finished the engine. I figured out it is a mid 90's ZR1 Vette LT5.
TFchronos Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm definitely game for next year. Maybe even handling the thread? I'm never really gone for more than a week at a time (if I am I'm usually signed out and don't realize it) and I do enjoy this cbp so it would be a complete honor to get to run it one year.In other news the guitar is out of the way and I'm starting to work on the wagon, pics up soon-ish.
christian-w Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Uh - navigation system and smartphone! Good ideas! Wished, I had those ideas before I finished my Mini. I parked it today in the gallery: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/106783-cannonballrun-2015-1964-mini/

Foxer Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 That's going to be a tough one to beat with all that in the bed .. a rolling workshop. Looks great!
Jantrix Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) No sweat Christian. I need to update my engine photos for the Pacer this weekend and I'll get mine up too. Keep it going guys, 6 weeks sounds like a lot of time, but I promise you its not. Edited October 16, 2015 by Jantrix
Dominik Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Rob,for the completed-builts-thread...how many pictures do you allow to post? i think, it is better to post "only" two pictures (siedefront/sideback) in the poll and under the pictures a link to the gallery.it will be a better overview - my opinion.
Rotorbolt73 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 My 76 Caprice is done! I have other pics posted in the completed thread.
Foxer Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 ready to roll for assembly .. Garmin and iPhone plugged in ..
captjeffro26 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 It is pretty tight in there. So far so good though.
