So this is my dilemma. I have a RasPi and haven't been able to use it for the past two years due to not having an SD card.

I got one for Christmas, and I went and installed Pidora on it.

I'm using a regular CRT TV.

I go through the installation process and hit a wall at the time select option.

The map is covering the forward button!

Any help?

So I went and reformatted my card to install another OS.

Then the card said it was only 50mb.

So I reformatted it again with an external program.

It came up as 1.6gb, not 16gb.

I decided to cut my losses because 1.6gb was enough. Then the card stopped working entirely.

Windows said every time when it would pop up in the "My Computer" menu, "Please insert a disk into disk E:\."

The friggin thing was in there. I tried everything... Different USB port, pull the thing out and put it back in, remove card from adapter and out it back in.... Nothing. This is wonderful. Hopefully I can return it.

Could be a bad SD card. Take the device and card to an electronics store, like Radio Shack, and ask one of the techno-geeks behind the counter to take a look at it. I've seen a similar message when one of my external drives died and it wasn't recognized by my computer.

It took you two years to get an SD card?

The cheap SD cards are useless, you should stick with the brand name ones from a reputable store. The the 32 and 64GB ones are constantly on sale. I picked up a 32GB Ultra Plus for $24 at best buy twice this year. You can order them online too. Samsung brand is good too.
