S10man Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 This was an old AMT kit (actually a glue bomb) that I bought on e-bay. It took a ton of work to get it all apart and cleaned up ready to rebuild, but all in all it turned out pretty well. It makes a nice companion to Gurney's car which I did earlier this year. Thanks for looking.
BIGTRUCK Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 They look real sharp Bill , thats the era I like....good builds
crispy Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Wow, I was just admiring a few of those cars in a catalog I was looking at. You did a really fine job! They look great together. Chris
Daniel Peterson Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I can count the number of times I've seen those in the box one one hand, and the number of times I've seen them built up on one finger! Nice work on both! The race car technology has come a long way since then, but these represent my favorite era for sure!
Zoom Zoom Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Nice save there! The two look great together. Sure wish open wheel racing today had a bit of the character these had.
S10man Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 Thanks very much for the kind words everyone! Next one is the 1965 Lotus 38, Clark's winning car.
