FASTBACK340 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I ran into work this morning for a few hours and this rolled. It's in for some exhaust fitment issues so the customer had us pick it up and flat bed it in. And that's only because the customer didn't have a TIG welder at his house as he offered our exhaust fabricator to come use HIS lift in his "shop" behind his house. Must be nice ….. As far as details, I can't help besides the obvious and that's it's mid-60's Corvette with an all aluminum Brodix big block and a 5 speed Richmond. The flatbed rolled it off, we parked it on a drive-on lift, and I'll find out more Monday. But wow, just LOOK at this thing so far! BTW: Our shop fabricated every piece of the exhaust system from the flanges on the cylinder heads to the tips on the mufflers out back.
1930fordpickup Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 This is nice John. It seems the body flew off on the way to the shop.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Is that an SR-III Motorsports chassis, or something else?
FASTBACK340 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Is that an SR-III Motorsports chassis, or something else? Not sure Bill. All I know is your looking at a fortune as it sits so far…… As I said, I'll find out more details Monday. We're doing an LS3 swap in a `65 `Vette with an Art Morrison frame that looks like bar straws compared to this one. It is STOUT. I know he plans on road racing it so I doubt it'll see the streets. But who knows….
1930fordpickup Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 With that big block in there it should hall the bacon.
FASTBACK340 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 No new info ? The exhaust was completed on a Saturday and returned to the customer the same day. I got no further info.
FASTBACK340 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Man John, you work in an awesome shop!!!!! Yeah, it's definitely a toy store. I've been opening and closing the shop a few days a week and my responsibilities have been shifting a bit. Having keys and alarm codes is a game changer, not to mention meeting with customers and collecting payments. I've also gone from doing bull-work to following up on final assemblies and making it all pretty and aesthetically pleasing. Yeah, I'm happy! Check out some of our projects that are either completed or in-process….. http://paulsrestos.com/photo/projects/ http://paulsrestos.com/photo/gallery/ Edited January 31, 2015 by FASTBACK340
