I've found them at Hobby Lobby. They're 10.99 for a pack of 16. If you use the Hobby Lobby 40% off, that's 6.59 plus tax. Hobbylinc also carries them if you don't have a HL close by.

The strong hold ones are almost too sticky.

You can use just about any rod or tube, aluminum, brass, wood, or styrene. Pick the diameter you need and put a strip of two sided tape on one end

and your good to go. Replace the tape as needed. It will last forever.
