Finishing that will be quite a victory! Looks like a very cool change of processes from cars.

I look at all that rigging and say to myself, "nope!"

You're much braver than I for tackling this project but keep up the good work and you'll have an amazing piece of art on your shelf when done!

hello toast yes the rigging will be a nightmare all i have to go by is 16 sheets of plans no pic of it thats the hard part lol

So far, so good. Which company makes this kit? I built a Mamoli 1/93 scale U.S.S. Constitution years ago and the rigging was a headache and a half.

hi joe its made by corel this kit will be painted in the real victory colors

hello jim hull planking has gone well for me should be done tonight

Looking great, not my usual subject to take interest in, but I've seen this beautiful ship many times, my Dad who was from Portsmouth spent a few years in the Royal Navy,

So to speak? :) I have the old large scale Revell kit of the Constitution, but that's as far as I'm willing to go. The plank on frame stuff, is for souls far more brave than I. Looks like you're off to a rocking good start. I suspect more photos of the guts will become available as they begin the restoration process on her.

This looks amazing! That rigging is even more so. My grandfather was an old ship modeler ... he was a ship rigger in Boston in his early life and built them in his workshop basement from scratch. He had a drill press, lathe, so many saws ... I was in heaven when we'd see him. There was a completed ship under his basement stairs that I would start at for hours with all the details. I was about 6 years old and I blame him for my modeling interest! He gave all his ships away to friends and no one in the family has one. I found out the ship under the stairs was the USS Hartford (we were in East Hartford, CT) and he donated it to the Old Hartford Statehouse. They had it on display for some years and most of their stuff was transferred to another museum and was lost track of. I would give anything for any of his ship models.

Anyway, do keep us posted on your progress.
