tomsheehy Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Yeah, I'm sort of on a roll...I've got a ton of unfinished projects on my "bench", so I dug them out and I'm going to get them all done before I start another one... In that vain, here is a simple box stock snapper that I had painted the body to test some paint a couple of years ago. Only took me a couple of days to finish it up. Well, the paint turned out so good that I needed to finally finish it. Again, box stock Lindberg 1/25 police car kit, paint is Tamiya gunmetal, decals by Chimneyville, lightbar by DP Hobbies. jefropas Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Nice work again Tom! I should send you all my unfinished kits to finish off... Jeff
av405 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Very nice! How did you make those bases for the light bar?
tomsheehy Posted February 13, 2015 Author Posted February 13, 2015 Thanks guys... Jeff, I've got plenty more to keep myself busy for my next life. Alberto, the bases are from one of the extra lightbars in a diecast Crown Vic, I believe the MotorMax version. I cut the ends off and just used them instead of the whole length of the base, then I sanded them down a bit to lower the height.
av405 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Gotcha. I was planning on doing the same thing with some of the lightbar bases from the Testors diecast Crown Victoria kit. Thank you.
