Been reading quite a bit and I'm very excited to be getting back into this hobby. I've been out of it for a very long time as life has just not allowed me time to sit down, relax and build. So finally its time. I have a handful of old models that have been kicking around, damaged, etc that I'd like to rebuild and learn some new skills and also been collecting some drag kit models. Ive accumulated 2 STP pro stock firebirds, 1 2000ish firebird pro stock, 57 chevy pro mod, larry morgan pro stock olds cutlass and recently started building a 67 GTX just to knock some of the dust off my skills ha.

Plans are to step up my skill set significantly, I'd like to rebuild my 67 Chevelle pro street model and try my hand at a tubular chassis using styrene also a 65-66 gto I'd like to do the same and build it something like Glenn Teet's top sportsman GTO. Lastly I have an old 55 chevy Charles carpenter, and a 69 Camaro I'd like to do something similar but more in the outlaw category much like Tyrone's builds on here. I've been stalking his builds quite a bit, very inspirational and motivational. So we'll see how it goes, I'm happy to be here and anxious to learn more.

Welcome back to building and to the forum.

If it's eastern NY you're in, the largest model car show in the country is just a couple months away and worth a short drive to Wayne, NJ .. NNL East

Unfortunately I'm from the west side of NY, buffalo area. I'd love to go, maybe one of these times I'll take the trip.

Hardest part of getting back into this is picking up all the supplies, paints, wires, figuring out what you guys are using now-a-days and trying to find it. I'm getting there.. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yeah I hear ya Mike. When I stopped modelling the closest you could get to chrome was the old Humbrol enamel! I just ordered some alclad which I have seen excellent results from. Welcome back to the builds.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'll be starting some build threads soon, just waiting for some more supplies to come in.
