MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. I cleared several bodies earlier today including the Hasegawa 67 VW Type I started over a year ago. After three failed paint jobs,I will be glad to get this one finished.
  2. Painted the Revell 68 Firebird I’ve been working on late yesterday.Gonna clear it today
  3. I have been messing around with another project, even though I have about six on my bench right now. Even though the Sox&Martin 65 A/FX Paper Tiger Plymouth has been done to death,I wanted to do it since it’s sponsored by Gate City Chrysler/Plymouth in Greensboro,North Carolina, which is where I’m from. I remember that dealership well.I got to see Sox&Martin race many times in the 70s at local tracks near me.Moebius 65 A/FX Golden Commandos kit with a few changes but will be built basically box stock. I primed a bunch of parts this morning and I started painting the interior.
  4. I just finished up this for a family friend for his birthday. Its the Airfix Quickbuild Ford Raptor. The color is Tamiya TS-42 Light Gun Metal and the trim is Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black. The interior is painted Krylon Brown Boots. The wheels are Jay’s Resin 18’ Fuel Tech and the tires are from Jay’s too. Thanks for looking.
  5. Local hobby shop purchases this morning. I couldn’t pass up the Salvinos Jr Next Gen Camaro at 50% off and the body is molded in white too
  6. Nice work! My mother bought a 71 Nova new. It had a 307 with a two barrel.Auto trans and it was classic copper with a black vinyl top and tan vinyl interior.I plan on doing building a version of her car at some point. My first car was a 79 Z/28 with a factory 4-speed trans that I plan to build a replica of at some point too.
  7. I saw that one too and it was very clean and well deserving of the best of show award.
  8. Last of the pics. This one was my favorite and I wish I could park it in my garage😍
  9. My dad and I went to this show yesterday.Saw some great Foxbodies and picked up a few things from the swap meet.Heres a few pics. Thanks for looking.
  10. Hey Jeff, it was great meeting you last month too! I hope to see you at some shows next year.It was a great show and I’m looking foward to going again next year again.
  11. After stripping and repainting the body several times on the Hasegawa VW Type 2 pick up I started in April of last year, I finally got a paint job I can live with this afternoon. I decided to use another body from another kit since I plan to use that one as a donor for another VW pick up project I have in mind. Other than a few touchups,it’s ready for clear.i’m trying to finish up a few models before the end of the year.
