Lovefordgalaxie
This was another of my fast builds, as I started her on last Sunday, and finished on Friday. The AMT kit is based on the original dealer promo, so there are not many parts to worry about, and that is the way I like things. I really like the way AMT used to do models back in the '60s and give them more value than the new tooling kits. I originally wanted this Galaxie to be Acapulco Blue, but I copyed the wrong code from the color catalog, and ended having Viking Blue mixed. I noticed there was something wrong with the color just after I painted the body, but no way I was going to strip the body, specially when the paint resulted good!!! So, Viking Blue she is!! Well, here she is, thanks for looking!! 1963 Galaxie 500 WIP by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 WIP by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 XL by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 XL by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 XL by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 XL by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 XL by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1963 Galaxie 500 XL by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

drifterdon
Man that is just gorgeous. Your paint job is perfect and the trim paint for the interior is equally impressive. Amazing build of a difficult model. Very well done! Don

Lovefordgalaxie
I wish you guys could see the color better, but it seems to change a bit from picture to picture. I think it's this new camera I got, that I still don't know how to operate properly.
Eshaver
I'ts a delight to see such a model Tulio, well done !
Monty
It may not have ended up the color you originally intended to paint it, but I think it worked out in your favor. In addition to making it look like that car just rolled off the assembly line, that icy blue paint just makes it pop! I also love the way you maximize every little detail on these old kits (see firewall). Congratulations on yet another eye-catching build.
