I finally got my Chi-Town done . As everyone knows I replaced the complete sides of the car , painted straight red from duplicolor with 5 coates of clear and added some fuel lines and plug wires and aluminum pulleys and belt from MAS. It is a nice kit to build here are some pics

thanks Chuck

Thanks everyone on the positive comments . I tried to capture the look of the 1969 car with my build. The chassis is pretty much dead on from the box. I used the MAS aluminum pulleys and belt because the belt was suppose to ride on the inside of the idler pulley and not on the outside like what comes in the kit. I also used red plug wires and the paint was Duplicolor Bright Red part #T152 from the truck and van paint series, now this paint has been discontinued and I will try to get the new part # tomorrow when I go back to work. The decals I used were from the kit also . I also added a mechanical fuel pump that mounts on the motor that pumps the water from the holding tank to the motor , (pretty neat idea they had back then in using a fuel pump for a water pump ). I had fun building this car and for a shelf car I'm pretty satisfied with it . Again thanks everyone on the support.

Great looking build! Like these Funny Cars a lot. This paintjob looks very cool, decals are nice and engine looks very nice too... Detailing is awesome, there are lots of very nice looking details! Frame looks good too, keep these coming... B)
