AzTom
This is the M2 diecast pickup in 1/25 scale. It looks right but I have not scaled it out to be exact, does not matter that much to me. I do like that it has realistic type door hinges instead of the dogleg type. The hood hinges are dogleg type but are to the outside edge so they look ok. Feel free to ask questions. I saw their website and they were listed as a retailer. I think Hobby Lobby also sells some of these diecast pieces, but in a smaller scale. I really like this truck, wish it was available in kit form!
Rob Hall
That's nice. I have a number of their 1/64th diecast, didn't realize they were doing 1/24th.
Longbox55
I'm going to have keep a lookout for this one. I've been collecting their 1/64 diecasts, too, and have a few of their 1/24 cars. Nice to see someone do a 1/24 diecast of the Task Force/Blue Chip body truck and actually get it right!
redneckrodder
i would like to find one in 1/64 to add to the farm display...i have to many f350's on it
AzTom
WOW, Tom! Where do you buy your groceries??? Fry's, on Geezer day. They have a lot of the 1/64 M2 but seldom have the 1/25. Actually this one may have come from Wallymart, we were there also.
unclescott58
That's nice. I have a number of their 1/64th diecast, didn't realize they were doing 1/24th. Same here. This is the first I've heard of their models in this scale. Going to have to keep my eyes open for them. Scott
AzTom
There are a few 1/24, sorry about posting 1/25, in this series. They also make the 59 GMC Apache with the style side bed in 2wd version. I found the wheelbase of the real GMC 150 online and this scales out to 1/25 not 1/24 The bed is a 6.5 ft and scales out at 1/24 i would like to find one in 1/64 to add to the farm display...i have to many f350's on it This truck is available in 1/64 in the same colors. Longbox55
If you're looking for the 1/64 scale versions, Walmart and Meijer both carry them (locally, Meijer has a better selection), and if you have a Menards in your area, they are stocking them for the Christmas season. I just picked up a pair of '59 Chevrolet Fleetside 4x4s from them yesterday.
Longbox55
I picked on up over the weekend, it is very nice, with a few errors. The engine is one that is somewhat major. A GMC of that vintage should have a Pontiac V8, rather than a Chevrolet. Also, I have to disagree about the door hinges. While they are nice, and would be ok on a different subject matter, they are incorrect for a Task Force or Blue Chip truck. On the 1:1, the door actually does swing out on dogleg style hinges. AzTom
Would be nice next to my '58 Side by side the M2 is a much nicer truck
Longbox55
This is what the hinges look like on the 1:1. Note how the door swings out past the fender, rather than tucking in.

Ridge Rider
Wow, these are all so cool. I would love to have them in styrene, but it must more expensive than metal. But seriously they sound pretty reasonable for what they are and it's nice they are available. Thanks for sharing.
