Custom Mike
Bob, Evergreen makes some small half-round that works great for trim, I've used it a few times myself with great results!
TooOld
Thanks Mike. I used .030" 1/2 round rod from Evergreen . The original molding was .060" , big difference !

Chuck Most
I keep seeing a stretched Gremlin somewhere in this rendering...

Casey
I keep seeing a stretched Gremlin somewhere in this rendering... Gremlin + one of those custom Renwal thingamajigs = ^^^^^ ?? A bustleback Gremlin would be rather classy, no?
Chuck Most
Gremlin + one of those custom Renwal thingamajigs = ^^^^^ ?? Eh... not too keen on cutting into an old Renwal kit, but I do have an appropriate leading edge for something like this. A bustleback Gremlin would be rather classy, no? Emphasis on 'no'. Foxer
There are things being done to AMC bodies in here that shouldn't be mentioned in polite company! And all are creative AND good looking! Edited October 20, 2012 by Foxer
Austin T
Well I found this....
Chuck Most
Remember that Matador? The paint is Rustoleum 'Lagoon', which is a suede. I'm kind of toying with the idea of leaving it in suede- guess I'll see if it grows on me.
Custom Mike
Nice color, I may have to grab some onf that for myself! How much more is left Chuck?
Casey
I have made very little progress on the model, but I found some very helpful information in both C.L. Zinn's "AMX Photo Archive" book and this unknown magazine(?) blurb, found on an AMC forum: I though the windshield appeared to be "leaned back" from stock, and this article seems to confirm that. Ditto for the roof cutouts which I could just make out in other pics, but wasn't quite sure why they were present. I need to find this August '68 issue! Chuck Most
Nice color, I may have to grab some onf that for myself! How much more is left Chuck? Won't be much left, I think the color will also work well on an AMT White Western Star semi I'm working on, and that will more than likely kill the rest of the can. jeffs396
It's been awhile since I've had a chance to work on the Pacer, but saw this linky on a Jeep forum and thought it might renew some interest in this CBP: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/02/11/rare-amc-amx3-prototype-on-display-at-chicago-auto-show/?intcmp=features#ixzz2KdPs6aZ7 This beauty is on display at the Chicago Auto Show now!
