STAR FIRE!!!

I started the STAR FIRE earlier this year...

(It was called MIRROR before the name change.)

STAR FIRE is based on two 59 Impalas, a bubble from the 58 T-Bird and Testarosa hood vents.

When finished it will float in the display case...

Made some progress on STAR FIRE!

I cut out the rear seat and floor and replaced them with sheet plastic.

I also narrowed the interior slightly.

Here is a photo of the seats and console set in place.

The bucket seats are from 2 AMT Challenger kits.

The rear seats were modified so that they fit flat against the back of the interior.

I will either modify this console or scratch build a new console that will drop down from the dashboard and go all the way to the rear window.

Okay, it looks like I'll have to pop some popcorn for this one and get the extra comfy chair, for I think you are going to take us for a wonderful styrene trip! Keep it going.

I like it, is this a "driving" thing or a "flying" thing,???? cause it looks like it could go either way! Pretty smooth looking.

OOPS, I missed that "floating" thing in the display case comment...so my question was answered before I asked it....sorry

Gotta luv it when a plan comes together, especially when you didn't know it WAS a plan to begin with !!

Okay, now I'm just being lazy because I just said the same thing about your Triangula build and John's Bentley.

Anybody know where I can buy a life, cheap ??

Ah yes! the super secret GM flying car using technology from captured aliens. There was something similar in SA years ago and this one looks every bit as kool.

Lookin' GREAT so far! It looks like what the "futurists" back in the 1940's claimed we'd all be driving by now.

(... But Ralph Nader claimed that the rear ends of the STOCK 1959 and '60 Chevys would fly at 70 mph anyhow, in his infamous work of fiction, "Unsafe At Any Speed"!)

Looks like something seen in the airlanes of Coruscant in the Star Wars Prequels... There were some really neat airspeeder designs in those movies...

It started as a driving thing and eventually it turned into a flying thing...
