I know I'm gonna love your airbrush work John, but it will have to play second fiddle to the interior. The upholstery just turned out fantastic. It's fancy, yet basic at the same time. Great work capturing the look of the 1:1.

Thanks, Riley.
Bill Davis showed how good the silver and blue go together, so I wanted to try that combo.

I never fail to enjoy the Heartland. Way too much eye candy.
Having Clay Kemp enter this year was a true honor. I have always marveled at his work on-line. To see it in person is beyond description.
Thanks to Bill Davis for rounding up the 1:1 37 Chevy gasser. That thing was nostalgia all the way. On Sunday afternoon, he fired it up and the smell of race gas floated in the air like the worlds best cologne. They really do need to bottle that smell.
I swore I didn't need to pick up any more kits, but there's so much at the Heartland that you're bound to run across something that lures you in. I came across a double Corvette kit with another C4 to replace my promo, and a 53 like my buddy drove back in high school; plus the very cool Revell 50 Olds.
Put this one on your calendar next year.

Here's the finished product. Didn't have enough time to do up some full size moon discs, so I had to settle for the kit wheels and tires. Some competition decals would have been a nice addition as well.
Maybe next time
Since this was just a promo build, it won't be going into the under glass section, so these are the final pics

Thanks, Bill
yeah, I expect to be there sometime today and tomorrow. I'm still at work at the moment, but ready to wrap it up for the day.
I had some left over Tamiya blue, so I threw that at it as well. Not enough drying time to go with a clear coat on this one, but it looks ok.
Here's a few more pics
