  1. Thanks everyone for the kind words.
  2. Thanks for the kind words, guys. I try to make the builds like this to look as real as I can.
  3. Thanks guys. This was an experiment, and I liked how it turned out. I used pastels for the moss and rust. I sprayed the hood and interior with this Marker Air Brush kit that I got at Hobby Lobby. You just insert a sharpie in and pull the trigger and spray away.
  4. Here are some pics of a 61 Impala that I rusted and weathered. I tried to make it look like it sat in the woods for a long time and green mold is growing on the North side of the car. This is the first time that I've tried this. In the back seat is a guitar, tv, rabbit ears and horn. On the front seat is a tire and battery.
  5. Thank you. This was a feel good build for me.

Thanks Sean, but I really didn't want to use an engine. I do have one of the engine's that came with an engine stand that I'm going to pose with the car like the engine is being rebuilt.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really enjoyed rebuilding this. Stuff like this keeps the "ol noggin working.

I've had this body for many years and finally got the parts that was needed to put it together. I don't have an engine, but that's ok. Here are some pics of how it turned out. I didn't paint the body. This is how I got it. It is a beater fer sure.
  10. Thanks for all the kind comments, guys. I've been wanting to build a 2dr sedan for a very long time and I got the chance when a friend of mine had two of the Revell bodies and I went for the challenge. It's not perfect but looks good on the shelf. I mixed the color. I was going for an early 50's look and I think I got it pretty close.
  11. I combined the AMT body with the back half of the Revell Miss Deal's top to create this 2dr sedan.
  12. Here are some pics of the finished cars. I painted the Corvette the original color that it was painted back in the 80's. The Dodge is painted Plum Crazy.
  13. I'm glad that this was helpful to someone. Thanks for all the kind comments.
  14. 2 more days to the show.
