  1. Anyone know where i could 4 of them in 1/25?. I'll be building a replica of an old truck I had many, many years ago and that's what size shoes it had. Wouldn't have to be exactly that, 295's would probably work. Thanks for any help.
  2. I say keep it going! Judging by the paint and polish she laid down on the body, I KNOW the rest will turn out spectacular! I can't wait to see it finished!
  3. Sounds like a pretty nifty idea. I wonder if they make the vinyl lettering that you can get at various places small enough? Probably wouldn't turn out to be the right font though...
  4. To me it doesn't look so much like a raised "lip". It looks more like the entire hatch "top" sits above the roof of the car. Had the hatch been completely flush mounted, there would be no way to open it from the outside. If you look back at the screenshots you have with the hatch open on page 130( and the pics you just posted while I was typing this lol) of this build, you can see the dirt/grime build up around the hatch opening on the roof where the hatch edges rested. Just my two cents of course... Sometimes you just can't sweat some of the small details. Any which way you go, this will be an amazing model for sure!
  5. I would be very interested in some if not all of these. I'll be (at some point in the future) building a sort of modern pro street( I guess that's what you would call this) version of a 72 chevy truck. It's kind of a cross between pro street and pro touring??? I don't know but I think it looks pretty sweet. What you're showing pictures of is the closest thing I have been able to find. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough. But I could build a model around any of those wheel as opposed to building a model and finding the right wheels! If you have any ordering info and or ebay name let me know. Those are just plain sweet!
  6. That's a pretty massive amount of detail for a 1/25 build... Incredible work so far. And pleeeeease tell me you sell some of those resin parts you're making! Pretty please?
  7. I believe it's "dyed" with a Sharpie Bob. That's what I've heard of people doing. I'm sure you could paint it as well? Never tried it though.
  8. This is awesome. Lucky, lucky man you are sir! Women can definitely have a better eye for detail. Not too much into Ferrari's but the Vette is gorgeous! I'll be following along for sure on this and your 1/12 Camaro. Good luck to both of you!
  9. My haul for the day were these two beauties! The truck actually showed up yesterday. The 55 will be my first big scale car and I'm DYING to get started even though I have NO idea how I want to build it. I only know that it won't be box stock. Let the aftermarket searching begin!!! (after I finish my current build....maybe) The truck I really only got it for the wheels. I'm planning a dually version(as well as many other versions) of a 72 chevy truck and thought these would look good after seeing them on one of Tyrone's truck builds. Thanks for the idea Tyrone! And this.... I can't wait for. Gonna be so fun to build this one!
  10. I've got that kit in the stash also. Haven't decided what I want to do with it yet though. For filler it depends on what I'm filling. Ejector pin marks, medium-larg ish gaps I normally fill with superglue. Mounting holes that I want to fill I will find an appropriate size plastic rod or sprue piece and glue it in with plasctruct glue. I also have some Bondo glazing and spot putty that works fairly well. I still prefer superglue because I can use the glossy shine to see if I still need to sand some more.
  11. Nice work so far. I'm really starting to dig these older Mopar's! I really want to know where I can buy some of those flowmasters! Those things look sweet!!
  12. Really nice work! Love it! I think either the rear wheel needs to come back a little or possibly the bed needs to come forward. The bed/cab gap looks a little large to me but it may just be the angle of the pic. either way, it's a top notch truck!
  13. Truly awesome Chris. You can tell this will be a beautiful car once finished just by the amount of care and attention you're throwing at it. Well done!
  14. I for one wish there was a LHS nearby to me. Somewhat small town-ish area. Just not a lot of commerce going on here. 30 ish miles away there lots of commerce, with a much higher sales tax, but only a Hobby Lobby. My reason for wanting a local brick and mortar, is the instant gratification... The idea of paying for a kit and getting to take it home and oogle it right away. That's just me though.
  15. Likewise. The best looking generation of trucks. Very nice build John! Love that blue on it!
  16. Love 'em all but I really love the pulling truck! There is one very similar that comes the local fair here every year. Did you scratch the weights on the front or are they kit pieces?
  17. Really nice work on the hinge Chris. Not to mention the fact that you took a bunch of mini hinges and made on big one! The whole thing is nice and even. All your "loops" match which could ruin the look if it wasn't. Hinges in armor modeling were one of my weak points. Granted, they are usually quite small but I guess I just never found a reliable, consistent method for rolling them. Sorry, rambling... Top notch chief!
  18. Very sharp truck! I'd rather not have a real 1:1 quite that low but it's a real sweet ride. Also love love love the maroon one behind it.
  19. This should be a hoot to watch! Love the "accessories" you have on the stage!
  20. Dave this is so awesome. That head on shot of the motor sitting in the chassis is just plain ridiculous (in a good way of course!). This car is going to be sick when it's done!
  21. Still silently(mostly) following along on this one Chris. There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about this. It's really awesome watching it come together. I will add that I think it's wonderful to see the comraderie and friendship that goes on here on these forums. THAT, is what makes this hobby great. Well, that and all these killer builds! Keep it going man! I'll be watching for sure!
  22. You should definitely get back to this one. I didn't used to be a fan of the whole jacked up gasser style( this would be considered a gasser wouldn't it?) but after seeing this build.... They are growing on me quickly! I think it looks bad a$$ for sure!
