  1. The first one that arrived sadly had a broken bodyshell, the second one arrived this morning, thankfully that was is fine, apart from a few light scuff marks on the roof, but nothing major, I found this on the Internet about the early and later bodyshells, the early one is on the left, the corrected one is on the right
  2. Not cheap, but the proper tool is much better than side cutters https://www.axminstertools.com/bahco-wire-cutters-316548
  3. Looking great Matt, I see it's got the earlier trembler coils fitted, that box looks very realistic
  4. It's worse than that, opened it up last night and found that the bodyshell was broken on the screen pillar and the roof panel is distorted, so I have another on the way to me.
  5. Superb, now can we see some photos of the model....
  6. We've been talking about doing the Rabbit front grille with the square headlights, which was available in a few European countries as well as the USA and Canada
  7. They should be ready for sale very soon, once the tyres have been sorted, they'll be cast in resin
  8. The 3D printed wheels have been finished those are the Revell kit tyres, but the lower profile resin tyres are being worked on
  9. There all LED, I've got a few, all different sizes, but there adjustable for brightness and colour temperature. https://neewer.com/collections/ring-light
  10. The trouble with using tracing paper is you still get the lighting reflections on the bodywork, i use studio ring lamps which work much better and hardly any reflections on the bodywork
  11. I've commissioned a guy in Hungary to do the CAD drawing and 3D printing on these, they will then be cast in a light grey resin, they will be made to fit the Revell Golf GTI and Cabriolet kits, prices should be around €18 for a set of 4, plus shipping.
  12. The paint for the Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet arrived this morning, it's one colour i couldn't get mixed up in basecoat over here, trust me to pick a colour that was so hard to get hold of.
  13. Welcome aboard David, I was over in your neck of the woods back in 1993, writing a magazine article about the Union Pacific Big Boy and the DD, I've still got the photos filed away.
  14. Looking great Sam, takes me longer than 24 hours to decide what colour I'm going to paint it, my current build has been sitting in the stash for just over 6 years.....
  15. Thank you, that's not even a 1/4 of the stash, a lot are boxed up and stored down in the flat in London, it took me a while to track down the 57 Bel Air convertible, a model you just don't find this side of the pond.
  16. After spending a few days listing every bottle and cans of paint, which I need to transfer to my PC, I decided to clean and rearrange my building bench.
  17. Superb build and a cracking colour combination
  18. The Austin Allegro would have been a much different and better looking car if the bean counters hadn't insisted that the E series engine from the Maxi had to be used in the 1500 and later 1750 which brought the bonnet height up, i worked for British Leyland and later Austin Rover, I could list so many projects that the bean counters ruined.
  19. Did a dry fit today, although I'm not sure why i bothered as I've already built one of these kit with the steel wheel
  20. It was changed when the Swiss bought Mackintosh, the people who used to produce the Milky bar
  21. Well if you're German, replace the W with a V, they pronounce it Vorchestershire, I had great fun working in Germany learning there language and trying to teach a few @ V.A.G English....
  22. Because if you removed the R out of World you'd end up with Wold, in Britain it means a piece of High,Open uncultivated land or Moor.
