  1. Thanks, John!
  2. Thanks, David! Those are the kit wheels, but I had to shave down the rears, because they are made for slicks.

Revell kit. The paint is AutoAir Sparklescent "Nightmare Blue". I couldn't get a photo that does the paint justice, it is really sparkly and darker than in the pix. Oh well, here it is anyway. Oh, BTW, the antenna is a guitar string.
  4. Thanks, Ken!

  20. Thanks, Nathan! I believe it is a vintage kit. No idea if it's ever been re-issued. Also available as a hard top, see here:

  23. Trumpeter kit. If you like lots and lots of tiny parts, this is the kit for you. The paint is Folk Art Metallic "Green Silk". The interior is various mixes of Testors. All the parts that should have been kit chrome but weren't, are Spaz Stix chrome. I wish I had done a better job on the interior, thought I could just freehand it. Oh well, as Dirty Harry said, "A man's got to know his limitations". So I guess not so bad for an old man with shaky hands. The trunk liner is a pattern I found on the web, resized and repeated in MS Word, and printed on white decal paper.
  24. They both look great. Really nicely built. Love them big ol' barges.
  25. I've had two that I felt were over my head, a Fujimi Enthusiast kit, and a Trumpeter Pontiac. I'm not a great modeller, but with time, patience, and care I was able to finish both. It kinda changes your mindset, I have to settle in for a long project, rather than cranking out an AMT or Revell kit. I've built a couple of Tamiya kits, and while they may look intimidating, they go together well, in a sensible way. I say go for it, I think you'll find you do have the skills, and you will enjoy the process.
