Tesla Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) I wanted to do something different with my DM600, so I decided on this project. It's a fill-in project to give me a break from my D11 build. This is what’s been done so far: Frame lengthened by 80 scale inches… Hosted on Fotki Camelback suspension… Hosted on Fotki Engine almost done… Hosted on Fotki The roll-off frame will have a single reeving cylinder similar to this… Hosted on Fotki Edited June 29, 2017 by Tesla
Petetrucker07 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Great idea man. I'm sure this will be a great lookin build, fresh from dealer lookin. I'll be watchin this.
Guest Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Dennis, Very interesting and quite ambitious. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on this one. Good Luck with your build
gatorincebu Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) Dennis, I was just sitting here wondering what you were up to?? lol Now I know. That looks like a really cool project. And having seen how you approach things. I am sure it will be a really well built and detailed model. Be Well Gator Edited June 20, 2015 by gatorincebu
Superpeterbilt Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Great progress on this Dennis. I know you'll attack the roll-off with the attention to detail shown in your other builds.
olsbooks Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 This will be really neat and original. Look forward to your fab'ing the dumpster. That will be no small project in itself. Far beyond my pay grade. Definitely one to follow and a guy surely could have a lot of fun with garbage, graffiti, dents, drippings, rust, and all that on the dumpster (if so inclined). Hmmmmmm.....don't know if that is a migraine or an idea coming on. Peace.
kilrathy10 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Oh, yeah....This is a nice idea.....I've always wanted to do one of these.......I see these type of trucks all the time, and when they're fresh from the factory, they look pretty impressive.....
Olskoolrodder Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Interesting! Great start on it,can't wait to see more!
Tesla Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 Thanks everyone for the encouragement and kind words. I ordered tires and wheels from AITM and they should be here tomorrow. Getting the rears installed will provide me with how much frame space (sides of the frame) I have to work with.
tbill Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 This is going to be another one that is fun to watch come together. Will be watching for sure.
Mackvision Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Dennis, great idea for a project, the DM-600 is well suited for roll-off duty! I will sure be watching this one!.......................................Mark
