I wanted to do something different with my DM600, so I decided on this project. It's a fill-in project to give me a break from my D11 build.

This is what’s been done so far:

Frame lengthened by 80 scale inches…

Camelback suspension…

Engine almost done…

The roll-off frame will have a single reeving cylinder similar to this…

Dennis,

Very interesting and quite ambitious. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on this one.
Good Luck with your build :)

Dennis,

I was just sitting here wondering what you were up to?? lol Now I know. That looks like a really cool project. And having seen how you approach things. I am sure it will be a really well built and detailed model.

This will be really neat and original. Look forward to your fab'ing the dumpster. That will be no small project in itself. Far beyond my pay grade.

Definitely one to follow and a guy surely could have a lot of fun with garbage, graffiti, dents, drippings, rust, and all that on the dumpster (if so inclined).

Hmmmmmm.....don't know if that is a migraine or an idea coming on.

Peace.

Oh, yeah....This is a nice idea.....I've always wanted to do one of these.......I see these type of trucks all the time, and when they're fresh from the factory, they look pretty impressive.....

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and kind words. I ordered tires and wheels from AITM and they should be here tomorrow. Getting the rears installed will provide me with how much frame space (sides of the frame) I have to work with.

Dennis,

This is looking really good so far. As I expected it to!

What wheel and tire combo are you using?

The basic components of the main frame are complete. Hinges for it have been installed along with the rear roller:

This picture shows the lift cylinder frame temporarily mounted to the truck chassis:

Pulleys are needed for the reeving assembly. I found these online and purchased a package of each size…medium and large:

I’m hoping these can be used

Thank you Mark. You're right about the fenders. I'll be ordering more parts from Dave and this is the set I plan on purchasing:
