Original 87 Miami Vice Testarossa build

Lucky enough to score it for cheap $ & always wanted to build one. Tried to keep it as close to the show car as possible but changed the center part of the console to show a but better than all black.A few customs touches here & there.

Very nice to see this built. I got this kit in my stash aswell, won it as a prize at the Norwegian Challenge show a few years ago when the theme was cars driven by Don Johnson. How does it come together? Any issues I should be aware of?

Funny you asked this! I’ve been thinking of doing Tubbs Caddy & Switek’s Thunderbird.

The kit went together pretty nicely. It was a fun project for sure getting the detailing done right.

Thank you all! It was a fun one for sure. I did the Daytona model back in 86/87 when I was 11. I’m 42 now & still have it. I’m currently doing another Daytona right now but I’m making this one look very specific to the shows #4 camera car. I may post the build “On the bench.”
