James2
Budget build #2 of my low budget Nomads. I paid a little more than I should have for this one, $20.00 but we will see what the end cost and results are. The disassembly went surprisingly well with only the windows showing glue stains here and there. I will get it cleaned up and finish taking the chassis apart to see what I have to work with. Some good old soap and water here at the hotel should help.
bisc63
Never was a vehicle so perfectly MADE for two-toning! How will you treat yours?
James2
Hey Rusty, After I get things cleaned up and test the paint that's on the car, I will definitely do a traditional two tone style.
James2
Update on the Low Budget 56 Nomad: I tried to polish the original paint but it wore through to the plastic easily. SO..... After a week long soaking in the purple pond the body is at a manageable place now. I started by removing the mold seam lines and then the emblems. I broke one of the vent windows while scrubbing, but that just fueled my imagination. I'll pancake the hood next.
bisc63
Definitely two -toned...
James2
Two tone Yes, but not what you'd think

Foxer
Following for sure. I got my driver's license in a '
MrObsessive
Just noticed this thread and I'm definitely watching! One of Revell's NICER kits with near perfect body lines. One flub-up I notice with these however is the front bumper fascia is a bit too long. This gives some builtups I've seen a 'battering ram' appearance. Real easy to trim that down maybe a couple scale inches to look better.

I plan to address that issue for sure. Along with a couple other touches. Thx for following
