Geez...I know I've seen it before, and when the answer is given, I'm going to have a big "doh" moment, but after scrolling through some of the uugliest concept cars from the period, I understand why I kinda lost interest for a couple decades.

Not a bad looking car. Windshield is a little overpowering, but overall the whole thing is a helluva lot prettier than a lot of the dog-awful concepts from the time.

The Equus was probably the last design concept by Vauxhall Motors. All subsequent Vauxhalls are Opel based, initially with some unique styling but lately only a change of badge. Only one Equus exists, it was designed by a team led by Wayne Cherry and built by Panther Westwinds on the chassis of a Panther Lima. The Lima was itself based on the Vauxhall Magnum and I believe it used a

sizeable portion of the Magnum floor pan.

I got as far as Panther because I knew that much, but couldn't get any further, I forgot it appeared as a Vauxhall. Similar background to the Silver Bullet and with the Wayne Cherry connection too.

I recognised the wheels, eventually...

Went from Bertone and other designers to Toyota (some A70 Supra's had similar wheels to Opel and then Vauxhall...

Nice looking car.

The wheels had me going. I would swear that I had seen them before on a Bertone designed car, but couldn't find it.  I think I spent way to much time hunting Bertone designed cars.  It does have the Bertone wedge shape that was so popular for that time period.

Yep, that cost me a lot of time too.
