Brudda
Tamiya 312b 1/12. Bought this from a estate sale for $40. Had a few issues but not anything that could not be fixed. Need to find some seat belts. This kit is the first round so it has a driver and a really bad seat belt arrangement. Trying to build it out of box. Rounded the tire edges so they do not look so bad. The front tires are a little too wide but will have to do. Not 100 percent copy of Mario’s car. Just a relaxing build between the super snake and ford GT. Thank you Chris for the decals. Old tamiya decals are tough. Added some evergreen to the inside for mounting purpose. I have to thank Chris for the heads up on the tough mounting positions on the body. I’m still not at my best. Just very lucky to be alive to build. Thank you for your support.
Brudda
Painting and putting together the little stuff. Engine went together in 5 minutes. So much more simple than a mfh kit. Not that I do not like detail, I just like to finish it. Took 10 months to finish the last mfh kit that I did. At this rate, I will have this done next week. Gotta love tamiya kits. Painting the motor and trans next.

Brudda
Well here is the engine block and trans. Not wired yet. I keep saying: out of box, out of box, out of box. Trying to keep the cost to just paint and glue. Very hard to do. I thank Chris for helping with that with the decals

Hello Chris, for me it is hard to build out of box. You just want to detail the car. Have to pull back for a out of box build. The build goes way faster when it’s out of box. Well when I build the 917/30, that will have all the detail in the world. By the way how’s the hippie car comming? Saw the frame and it looks great. I’m still going to therapy over the tubes over the P4. And your Porsche has even more. My Porsche is like yours, and when I build it I’ll have to continue therapy. Codi
Wonderful pics Bruce. I love the lone where you have the engine in the car and the wheels/tires in front for a quick mock-up. Very purposeful. Your paint is phenomenal btw. cheers, tim
Brudda
Thank you Tim. Trying to keep it simple. I call this car my recovery build. I’m not back 100 percent but keep plugging away. More pics, exhaust painted, ( tubes?) and wired.
